I firmly believe that design, in all its many shapes and forms, is everywhere. You don’t have to have an art degree or a job with the word “designer” in it to appreciate it. That’s what this blog is all about: finding great design, appreciating it, and most of all, sharing it.
To me, design can be a lot of things. It can be a cool logo. It can be a beautiful piece of art. It can be product packaging. It can be typography. It can be functionality. If it can be aesthetically appreciated and if it shows thought and creativity, it’s design.
What to Expect from This Blog
I think the best term to describe what to expect is “eclectic.” I’m going to be posting pictures that I take out in the world, pictures of great design that I see in unexpected places. I’m going to post digital artwork that I come across online. I’m going to write posts here and there about different concepts and theories, and about my own experiences. (If you want to learn more about me and my background, click here.) Come here if you need inspiration or you’re stuck in a creative block. You never know what could break you out of it!
Share the Love
If you discover great design in your day-to-day lives, send them in! Take pictures, forward them along. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can simply post through our social media platforms (see social media links at the top of this page). Tell your friends about it, get involved, and be a part of the #DesignIsEverywhere movement! There are too many crappy things in the world; let’s choose to see the good and share it!
